Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Director of Cricket, <\/a>Mo Bobat, stated that the franchise should pay tribute to the victims of the Bengaluru stampede. He added that their stories have now become an inseparable part of RCB\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RCB had organised a victory celebration in Bengaluru on June 4 following their IPL 2025 final win. A felicitation ceremony for the players took place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on the same day, a day after the final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, due to overcrowding and mismanagement, a stampede occurred near one of the stadium gates. The tragic incident resulted in multiple fatalities and left over 50 people injured. During the tournament, we often said we wanted to win it for them. Our fans have been incredibly patient\u2014waiting 18 years for this moment. For some of them to have lost their lives is incredibly sad,\u201d Bobat said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added, \u201cWe look forward to recognising these individuals and supporting their families. Their stories are now woven into our history. Every sports team has its heritage, and what our fans have experienced becomes part of ours. We owe it to them to honour their memory.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bengaluru-based franchise had earlier announced a compensation of \u20b910 lakh for the victims\u2019 families and launched the \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/e28bangladesh.com\/2025\/08\/23\/icc-womens-cricket-world-cup-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RCB<\/a> Cares\u2019 fund to provide medical assistance to injured fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will no longer host matches for the ICC Women\u2019s Cricket World Cup 2025, as it failed to obtain necessary permissions.
