Responding to the backlash, CSK released an official statement addressing Ravichandran Ashwin\u2019s remarks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“All actions taken by the franchise during the signing process of Dewald Brevis as a Replacement Player during the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 were in complete compliance with the rules and regulations of the IPL.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The franchise also cited the IPL Player Regulations 2025-27:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A Replacement Player can be recruited at a League Fee not exceeding the League Fee payable to the injured or unavailable Player for the relevant Season.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
