Rishabh Pant suffered a foot fracture during the Manchester Test and has been ruled out for six weeks. The injury, a fractured toe, occurred in India\u2019s thrilling 2-2 draw against England, the final match of their recently concluded series. Rishabh Pant has not played since the fourth Test and is expected to be sidelined for an extended period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident happened at Old Trafford when Pant attempted one of his signature reverse sweeps against England\u2019s Chris Woakes<\/a>. Misjudging the delivery, he was struck on the foot, resulting in a severe fracture. He left the field on a medi-cart due to bleeding, and subsequent scans confirmed the fracture. Remarkably, Pant returned to the crease at 37 and scored 54 before being dismissed by Jofra Archer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rishabh Pant was subsequently ruled out of the fifth Test and is likely to miss the Asia Cup 2025, as well as the two-match Test series against the West Indies in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just weeks after sustaining a foot injury, Rishabh Pant shared a new image of his injured foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Indian Test vice-captain hinted at the emotional strain and mounting frustration of his prolonged recovery by posting the photo with an expressive emoji on his Instagram story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the picture of his broken toe, Rishabh Pant<\/a> wrote, \u201cI hate this so much,\u201d reflecting his struggle with the ongoing setback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
