Yashasvi Jaiswal Smashes Seventh Test Century as India Take Charge Against West Indies. The second Test between India and the West Indies began on Friday, October 10, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, and day one belonged entirely to young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. The 21-year-old stole the spotlight with a brilliant century, dominating the West Indies bowlers and hitting boundaries all around the ground.

After Indian captain Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to bat, Jaiswal and KL Rahul provided a solid start, putting together 58 runs for the opening wicket. However, Rahul was dismissed in the first session, stumped off a clever delivery.

Following Rahul’s exit, Yashasvi Jaiswal forged a commanding 193-run partnership with Sai Sudharsan, who was aiming for his maiden century before being dismissed for 87 by Warrican. Despite claiming two wickets, the visitors struggled to contain Jaiswal, who ended the day unbeaten on 173 runs, including 22 boundaries, leaving India in a strong position.
