Pathum Nissanka scored his maiden T20I century but couldn’t guide Sri Lanka to victory.
Dead Ball Confusion During India vs Sri Lanka Super 4

In the Super 4 clash between India and Sri Lanka, a bizarre incident occurred when a batter hit a six following a dropped catch, yet no runs were added to the scoreboard. During the 10th over, Varun Chakravarthy was on his run-up for the third delivery when the umpire signaled a dead ball.
Oblivious, Varun bowled the delivery, and Pathum Nissanka lofted it high. Axar Patel, near the boundary, dropped the catch, allowing it to clear for six. However, since the umpire had already called a dead ball, no runs counted, and Varun was required to re-bowl the delivery.

The opening batter displayed remarkable skill, compiling 107 runs off 58 balls, including 7 fours and 6 sixes.
