Asia Cup 2025: Fans are seen demanding cancellation of India-Pakistan match on social media.

Asia Cup 2025: Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has recently put forward his view on the high-voltage match between India and Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025 to be played between 9 September to 28 September next month.

Asia Cup 2025: It is worth noting that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India Champions refused to play a match against Pakistan Champions in the ongoing World Championship of Legends. After this, the demand started rising more rapidly on social media that the Indian cricket team should also not play a match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup.

Asia Cup 2025: Meanwhile, the former BCCI president was quoted by NDTV as saying- I am fine, the game should go on. But incidents like Pahalgam should not happen, terrorism should stop. India has always taken a tough stand against terrorism, but the game should go on. On the other hand, as soon as Ganguly made this statement, fans started trolling him fiercely on social media.

However, now it will be interesting to see whether Asia Cup takes place between India and Pakistan in 2025 or not? But a source from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made a big statement regarding this.

Asia Cup 2025: BCCI source made a big statement

Regarding the India-Pakistan match in the Asia Cup, a senior BCCI source said – India-Pakistan match in the Asia Cup will not be reconsidered. It will be played at a neutral venue. India plays against Pakistan in the Olympics, Asian Games and SAF Games. It even participates in the javelin throw competition in which players from the neighboring country participate. In such a situation, why can’t the Indian cricket team play against Pakistan at a neutral venue in a multi-sport tournament.

The source further said – The match to be played between India and Pakistan on September 14 will not be stopped, because it is not a bilateral match. If India does not play in such multi-purpose tournaments, then Pakistan will directly benefit from it.
