Rishabh Pant did not keep wicket after injuring his left hand during the previous Test at Lord’s. The Indian Cricket Team is gearing up for the fourth Test against England, starting on July 23 at Old Trafford, Manchester. Rishabh Pant availability as wicket-keeper for this match remains uncertain.
He suffered a finger injury on the first day of the third Test at Lord’s while attempting to stop a ball from Jasprit Bumrah. Consequently, Dhruv Jurel took over wicket-keeping duties for India in that game.
Jurel kept wicket in both innings, with Rishabh Pant participating solely as a batsman. Recent reports suggest that Jurel is likely to be included in the playing XI for the Manchester Test as wicket-keeper, while Pant will focus on batting.
