Vaibhav Suryavanshi is rapidly emerging as a fan favourite with his fearless and aggressive gameplay. The 14-year-old southpaw has been in sensational form, showing no signs of slowing down. In the recent India U19 vs England U19 Youth ODI series, Vaibhav Suryavanshi lit up the field, smashing a total of 355 runs across five matches.
His standout performance came in the fourth ODI, where he hammered 143 runs—setting a new record for the fastest century in Youth ODI history, surpassing Pakistan’s Kamran Ghulam. With such exploits, it’s no surprise he has become the biggest crowd-puller in the ongoing U19 series.
Fans have been travelling from all over the UK to witness the young star in action. Among them were Aanya and Rivaa, two girls the same age as Vaibhav, who drove six hours to Worcester just to see him. Wearing Rajasthan Royals jerseys, they posed for a photo with the batter, which was later shared by the Royals’ official social media account.

India win Youth series 3-2
Thanks to Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s explosive performances, India Colts clinched the five-match Youth ODI series against England U19 by a 3-2 margin. Except for the final ODI, the 14-year-old left-hander consistently gave the visitors strong starts, often rescuing the team after early setbacks.
Suryavanshi first burst into the limelight during the IPL 2025 season with Rajasthan Royals. His 35-ball century against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium stunned fans and pundits alike, making him the youngest centurion in men’s T20 cricket history. The knock also marked the second-fastest century in IPL history.
He made his IPL debut against the Lucknow Super Giants after skipper Sanju Samson was sidelined due to injury. Suryavanshi announced himself in style by smashing the first ball he faced—a delivery from Shardul Thakur—for a six, immediately capturing the world’s attention.
At just 13, he created history by becoming the youngest player ever to receive an IPL contract. The Royals secured his services at the 2025 auction for ₹1.1 crore, and he has since become one of the most exciting young talents in world cricket.
