In the third Youth ODI held on Wednesday (2nd July) at the County Ground in Northampton, the Indian opener delivered a breathtaking performance, guiding his team to a convincing win. Suryavanshi smashed a blistering 86 off just 31 balls, peppering the ground with six fours and nine towering sixes. His explosive innings came at an astonishing strike rate of 277.42.
Earlier, India U-19 won the toss and chose to bowl first. England’s openers BJ Dawkins (62) and Isaac Mohammed (41) laid a solid foundation with a 78-run partnership. Skipper Thomas Rew later anchored the innings with an unbeaten 76, taking England to a competitive total of 268/6.
India’s bowling effort was led by Kanishk Chouhan, who claimed three wickets. Deepesh Devendran, Vihaan Malhotra, and Naman Pushpak also contributed with one wicket each.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s explosive knock proved to be the difference-maker, as India chased down the target to take the lead in the series.

India sealed the match with a composed partnership between Kanishk Chouhan (43) and RS Ambrish (31), securing a four-wicket win in just 34.3 overs.
