Jasprit Bumrah married TV presenter Sanjana Ganesan in 2021. The couple welcomed their baby boy, Angad, in September 2023. When asked about the wives of other cricketers, Sanjana remarked that each one is different. She explained, “They are all different. Even the players in the team have distinct personalities, which you can see on the cricket field. Their wives seem to complement their unique traits perfectly. For example, when I interview a player on the field and later meet his wife in the balcony, I realize it’s like yin and yang. She fills in what he might be missing, and that’s why they are together.”
Jasprit Bumrah: Sanjana also shared a glimpse into her personal life with her husband, saying, “He is my best gossip buddy. We often get into bed with chocolate and Netflix, watch for a while, then switch it off and chat about what happened at work.”
Reflecting on her viral interview with Jasprit Bumrah after India’s T20 World Cup win over South Africa, Sanjana revealed how interviewing her husband can be a playful challenge. “After the win, I was interviewing him and eventually ran out of questions, so I wrapped it up and wished him well for the future. I enjoy interviewing him because he’s fun. He notices when I focus too much and tries to distract me with funny gestures or winks. But I’m determined not to break character,” she laughed.
