India Set for Exciting ODI Clash with Australia in 2025 Tour. India and Australia are gearing up for a thrilling three-match ODI series from October 19 to 25 as part of India’s 2025 tour of Australia. Alongside the ODIs, the tour will also feature a five-match T20I series, promising plenty of high-octane cricket action.
The ODI series kicks off on October 19 at Perth Cricket Stadium, followed by the second game at Adelaide Oval on October 23, and concludes on October 25 at Sydney Cricket Ground.
India will be led by new ODI series captain Shubman Gill, while Australia will be captained by Mitchell Marsh, stepping in for Pat Cummins, who is sidelined due to a back injury and will miss both series. The tour also marks the much-anticipated return of batting stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who last represented India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in March.
Australia will look to leverage their home conditions to assert dominance, but the Shubman Gill-led Indian team will draw confidence from their recent Asia Cup 2025 triumph and unbeaten run in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, including a notable semi-final win over Australia in Dubai.

The hosts, captained by Aaron Finch, dominated the first two games, defeating the Virat Kohli-led Indian side by 66 runs in the opener and 51 runs in the second ODI series. India managed to fight back in the final match, securing a 13-run win.
Steve Smith, the batting stalwart who retired from ODIs earlier this year, was named Player of the Series. The right-handed batsman amassed 216 runs across three matches at an impressive average of 72.0, including two centuries.
