Both UAE and Oman entered the match seeking redemption after heavy defeats in their previous games. The hosts rose to the occasion, delivering a commanding performance to keep their Super Four hopes alive.
After being asked to bat first, UAE posted a competitive total of 172. Skipper Muhammad Waseem led the charge with a brilliant 69, while opening partner Alishan Sharafu contributed 51, putting together an 88-run opening stand. Support from Muhammad Zohaib (21) and Harshit Kaushik (19*) helped UAE reach a strong total of 172.
In response, Oman struggled to build partnerships, with UAE taking wickets at regular intervals. Junaid Siddique was the star with the ball, claiming four crucial wickets as Oman were bowled out for 130, handing UAE a 42-run victory.
