Sourav Ganguly ranks as the third-highest run-scorer in One Day Internationals (ODIs), trailing only behind Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. Over 311 ODI matches, he amassed 11,363 runs at an average of 41.02, including 22 centuries and 72 half-centuries.

In Test cricket,Sourav Ganguly played 113 matches, scoring 7,212 runs at an average of 42.17. His highest Test score was an impressive 239, and he notched up 16 centuries and 35 fifties. He retired from international cricket in 2008, leaving behind a rich legacy.

Recently, Ganguly returned from England, where he attended the second Test between India and England at Edgbaston Stadium. He had the opportunity to witness Shubman Gill’s impressive double century live at the ground, accompanied by his wife, Dona Ganguly.

Sourav Ganguly, who captained India in 146 ODIs and 49 Test matches, is regarded as one of the country’s most successful leaders. Under his captaincy, India won the ICC Champions Trophy jointly in 2002 and reached the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2003.
